The hip-hop society is eternally littered with matching rhymes with little to no substance. Thankfully, stylistic artist such as Big Rat, through his east to west coast travels, bring soulful rhymes that are innovative, but never duplicated.
Big Rat was born on the streets of the Denver,Co community of Park Hill, and later moved to the San Francisco area before settling back in the Mile High city of Denver, Colorado.
At the age of 12, Big Rat’s influences focused on Slick Rick and Dana Dane. At the age of 16, the shift was to Scarface and Master P. And now, at the age of 27, with his own style, where rap meets meaningful poetry, Big Rat has left many craving more.
Big Rat has made a name for himself performing his lyrical rhymes from state to state. Opening for South Park Mexican in New Mexico (1999), and Kid Frost in Salt Lake City, Utah (2000), landed Big Rat the opportunity to join the Low Ryder tour, which has been an event that he has performed at every year since 2000.
