| The Genius. ~ A self-made-genius, Puff Hickson has always been passionate about learning. “I’ve always wanted to be a Jack of all trades AND a master of many,” she says. An avid reader, most of what she knows is due to her own exploration and research. Currently, Puff is working on new music, she has a new EP that is soon to be released, first quarter, 2010, called “Definition of my Flow.” One of her singles, which is also a raw mix, can be downloaded now from iTunes called “I Can’t Help It.” Followed by the official single “I am the Brand.” This phrase refers to the fact that Puff is very well known for many things and her various talents. Puff Hickson is as well known as a popular brand name. Puff describes her new music as being very different from her previous CD, “Passion & Pain: Vol.1” because she says “Passion & Pain” was more like a “musical journal” of hers, which “created itself and happened,” whereas with “Definition of my Flow” she experiments with many different genres of music and it is filled with lots of “fun things, real things” and a lot of “different variations” of her. It portrays things that she feels and thinks about life and what she sees and experiences everyday as well.Last, but not least, she also has a new MixTape she will be releasing called, "PHb" [PH-balance] “Strong enough for a man, made by a woman.” (Prod. By Mic Handz). This Mix Tape is sure to entice her audience with “wild,” unique and one of kind flows, so it is one that music lovers will not want to miss. As an Entrepreneur who began her journey as a Dancer then an Artist, Puff Hickson successfully initiated and carried out various talents, which were mainly self-taught and included recording engineering, photography and establishing a Multimedia/Recording Studio in 2000. In addition to this, she also launched an Indie Record Label called Bread N Butta Entertainment where she decided she wanted to be a part of creating change in the music industry. She further shared her passion of music with others by producing music and by leading an array of other talented artists through her Label, which were writers, producers and engineers in all genres of music, but specializing in R&B and Hip Hop. Puff initially rented a room and made it her studio, which soon became a huge commercial space. She purchased equipment, researched and taught herself technical aspects of recording and began establishing her own clientele. She handcrafted work for Motown, produced compilation CD’s called “Will Spit for Food” “Still Hungry” and also “Dinner is Served." All are featuring various artists.
